Spaced Repetition Tracker ("the App") is developed and maintained by Alessandro Pace ("we", "our", or "us"), and this Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and store your information when you use the App. We value your privacy and strive to ensure your data is protected and used only in ways that align with your expectations.
Spaced Repetition Tracker is a productivity app designed to enhance your study routines with intelligent spaced repetition scheduling. This policy applies to the use of the App. As the sole developer, I am committed to safeguarding your privacy and making sure your data is handled securely.
Study records are stored on your device and use Apple's CloudKit through your private iCloud account to sync across your devices. Sync is automatic when available, but timing depends on Apple's services, your account, and network connectivity. The app also lets you export and import a JSON backup file, which can contain your study records and available attachment contents. Backup files are not encrypted by the app; store exported files somewhere you trust. Calendar events are created in a calendar account you select through Apple's calendar integration.
Your study content is not sent to Mixpanel as event properties. The app sends product usage analytics described below, which may include event names, app and device versions, selected scheduling preferences, and attachment type and size. Avoid putting sensitive personal information in topic names or notes.
Mixpanel processes product usage events such as app launches, onboarding progress, feature use, and subscription screen interactions. Event properties can include app and operating system versions, device model, onboarding choices, and attachment file type and size. The app configures Mixpanel not to track automatic events and disables IP-based geolocation. Analytics are enabled by default in the current app implementation. Mixpanel may process its own device or installation identifier; see Mixpanel's privacy information for its handling and retention practices. Study content and attachment contents are not included in the analytics event properties inspected for this policy.
The app uses RevenueCat to coordinate in-app purchases and subscription status with Apple's App Store. RevenueCat may process app user identifiers, entitlement and subscription status, product and transaction metadata needed to provide this service. Apple's App Store processes payment details; the app developer does not receive your full payment card information through the app.

CloudKit data is handled through Apple's iCloud service. Exported backup files are ordinary JSON files and are not encrypted by the app. Protect them as you would other files containing personal study information. No online service can guarantee complete security.
You can manage study records in the app, manage iCloud access in your Apple account settings, and delete or move backup files using the file provider where you saved them. Calendar entries are managed in your selected calendar account. You can:
